Case Aide

About the role

The Case Aide provides trauma‑informed support to refugees and other qualified immigrants, helping them access essential services and achieve long‑term self‑sufficiency. Working closely with caseworkers, you will facilitate connections to community resources and ensure smooth service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in obtaining housing, healthcare, transportation, childcare and other vital services.
• Support caseworkers in implementing individualized self‑sufficiency and employability plans.
• Facilitate connections to community programs that promote integration and economic stability.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of client interactions and update internal databases.
• Communicate and coordinate with IRC staff, service providers, and community partners.
• Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments, job interviews, and service agencies.
• Assist with referrals, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
• Offer interpretation services when qualified and appropriate.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma (required).
• At least 1 year of relevant experience; experience with refugee or immigrant populations preferred.
• Strong relationship‑building, diplomacy and networking abilities.
• Effective communication in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and detail‑orientation.
• Problem‑solving skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Required skills
