Caregiver Position (CNA/HCA)

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to provide hands‑on patient care in homes, facilities, or adult family homes across the North End area. This is a per‑diem, part‑time or full‑time position focused on delivering person‑centered, holistic care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care, including ADLs such as grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Follow individualized care plans, monitor vital signs, record weights, and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse.
• Promote skin integrity, prevent pressure ulcers, and ensure proper infection‑control practices.
• Assist with delegated nursing tasks, maintain patient dignity, and respect personal property.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CNA or HCA license for Washington State (or willingness to complete on‑site training).
• Good standing with Washington DSHS background check system.
• Reliable transportation and, if providing client transport, a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Required skills

• Ability to lift 50 lb using proper body mechanics.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
