Cardiovascular Radiology Tech – Cardiac Cath Lab

About the role

The Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist works within a multidisciplinary team to operate the heart catheterization laboratory suite across Baptist, Clearview, and Jeff Hwy campuses. The role involves preparing procedure rooms, operating diagnostic fluoroscopy equipment, monitoring patients, and assisting physicians during cardiac procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment, and procedure rooms for cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Operate fluoroscopy and other cardiac imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
• Monitor patient vitals and hemodynamic data, reporting values to the physician.
• Document procedures accurately for billing and charge capture.
• Maintain radiation safety by monitoring dose delivery and acting as liaison to the Radiation Safety Officer.

Required profile

• Associate degree in radiologic sciences (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification and state registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call availability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with diagnostic fluoroscopy and cardiac imaging equipment.
• Experience using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval.
• Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and dose monitoring.
• Computer literacy with web‑based applications and documentation software.
