Cardiovascular ACNP/PA for Inpatient CVICU (Tyler, TX)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Advanced Clinical Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) in Tyler, Texas. The role provides direct patient care in a high‑volume cardiothoracic surgery program, working alongside three board‑certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeons on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule (7 am – 7 pm).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to CVICU patients, including post‑operative management for cardiac and thoracic surgeries.
• Provide additional coverage at the main hospital as needed.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, nurses and other advanced practice providers in a physician‑led team.
• Participate in the development of the ECMO program and other emerging clinical services.
• Maintain documentation, order appropriate diagnostics, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Texas license (or eligibility for licensure).
• New graduates are welcome.
• Commitment to teamwork, clinical excellence and patient‑centered care.
• Full‑time availability for the 7‑on/7‑off schedule.
