Cardiothoracic Surgery Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

About the role

The Cardiothoracic Surgery Registered Nurse Practitioner will work alongside attending cardiothoracic surgeons and non‑surgical providers to deliver comprehensive medical care to surgical patients at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Key responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluation, history, and physical examination of assigned patients.
• Conduct daily assessments, formulate plans of care, and manage direct admissions.
• Complete patient discharge for all assigned patients.
• Provide postoperative care in the TOHU step‑down unit.
• Participate in ongoing education, quality improvement, and research projects.
• Contribute to service‑related databases and educate patients and families during inpatient stays.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified.
• Valid Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• ICU experience preferred; experience as an independent clinician required.
