Captive Consultant

About the role

Graham Company, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, is an insurance brokerage and consulting firm looking for a Captive Consultant in Philadelphia. The role expands the captive pipeline by working with Producers to bring in new captive clients and to target cross-sell opportunities within existing client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a key resource for Producers to identify and qualify prospective captive clients against underwriting and revenue criteria.
• Take part in meetings with Producers and prospective clients to assess captive suitability.
• Deliver tailored presentations explaining captive concepts and value propositions.
• Pursue new captive business within the existing book of business and help write proposals, reports and strategic recommendations.
• Identify marketing opportunities and liaise between Marketing and Production teams.
• Support new client onboarding, project execution and ongoing relationship management.
• Build long-term client relationships, generate referrals and share industry insights.

Required profile

• Five or more years of progressive insurance experience, including large national accounts or captives.
• Track record in account management, underwriting, sales or business development.
• Experience with single parent or cell captives preferred but not required.
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to build relationships and close new business.
• Regular, predictable attendance and fit-for-duty status.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Graham standard computer applications.
• Knowledge of captive insurance, underwriting criteria and industry trends.

What we offer

• Base salary of $106,700 to $175,000, depending on experience, skills, location, certifications and education.
