CapEx Acquisition Lead & Contracts Manager

About the role

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is seeking a CapEx Acquisition Lead and Contracts Manager to oversee capital investment projects and manage service contracts for its industrial maintenance portfolio. The role is based on the Kinston, NC plant, supporting the production of advanced composite aerostructures for the Airbus A350 XWB.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of CapEx business cases, overseeing a portfolio of approximately $200 million.
• Ensure service levels and value for money are achieved with contracted maintenance service providers.
• Collaborate with the Head of J&T, Robotics, Design, Acquisition & Maintenance to align capital projects with operational needs.
• Coordinate maintenance strategies for a diverse asset base, including CNC machinery, industrial autoclaves, and automated guided vehicles.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and risk mitigation throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale capital expenditure projects in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of contract management and service provider performance metrics.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, maintenance, and finance teams.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills to track project progress and financial performance.
