Cancer Communications Professional

About the role
The Cancer Communications Professional provides specialized multimedia, marketing, public‑relations, and design services to amplify the University of Vermont Cancer Center’s brand and outreach. Working with limited supervision, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality communications across multiple platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Develop concepts, strategies, goals, and objectives that expand the UVM Cancer Center’s brand reach.
- Create and manage content for e‑newsletters, the Drupal 10 website, print materials, and social‑media channels.
- Design, produce, and place branded multimedia assets, including graphics and video.
- Provide public‑relations support, coordinating with health professionals, patients, and scientists.
- Prioritize work, recommend updated tools and techniques, and resolve issues using prior experience.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Two to four years of experience in graphic design, web editing, and production of digital and print marketing materials.
- Experience working in a team‑based environment and collaborating with subject‑matter experts.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, and travel to worksites.
- Eligibility for background check and hybrid work schedule.

What we offer
- Competitive salary range $62,000‑$67,000 per year.
