About the role
The Senior Director of US External Communications & Corporate Brand will shape and protect Keurig Dr Pepper’s corporate reputation as the coffee operating unit expands globally. Reporting to Global Corporate Affairs, this leader will guide media strategy, brand implementation, and crisis response across the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary US communications liaison for Global Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations on earnings, transactions, and major corporate announcements.
- Develop and execute a US corporate media relations strategy targeting business, financial, sustainability, and industry outlets.
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, analysts, and opinion leaders, proactively managing narratives around coffee‑industry trends.
- Provide strategic counsel and media training to C‑suite and senior leaders for high‑profile interviews and earnings coverage.
- Lead thought‑leadership programs, including op‑eds, podcasts, reports, and executive communications that bring the corporate brand to life in the US market.
- Ensure consistent corporate messaging across the website, investor materials, ESG reports, annual reports, and employer branding assets.
- Support the enterprise crisis communications framework, collaborating with Legal, Risk, Operations, and Sustainability to mitigate reputational risk.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in corporate, financial, and external communications, preferably within a consumer‑goods or beverage environment.
- Proven track record of influencing senior leadership and managing media relations at a national level.
- Strong understanding of crisis communications, ESG issues, and regulatory developments affecting the coffee industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse stakeholder groups.
