CAD System Engineer

About the role

Radiant is seeking a CAD Systems Engineer to own and evolve the NX and Teamcenter environment used by its mechanical engineers. Reporting to the PLM Architect, you will design workflows, build standards and templates, and automate data management as the company scales its portable nuclear microreactor production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the NX CAD environment, including templates, customization files, role‑based configurations, Check‑Mate rules, part families and reusable component libraries.
• Establish, document and enforce organization‑wide standards for CAD modeling, drafting and PLM data entry.
• Partner with engineering on item and BOM structure, workflow design, revision and release processes, and data cleanup.
• Automate repetitive engineering data workflows, from bulk operations to reporting.
• Own user and access administration in Teamcenter, managing accounts, groups, roles, permissions and organizational structure.
• Manage client deployments and upgrades for NX and Teamcenter across workstations, including packaging, rollout, patching and validation.
• Troubleshoot licensing issues and coordinate vendor support cases.
• Write documentation and deliver training to reduce repeated queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, another engineering discipline or a STEM field.
• 1+ years of experience in engineering support, design, drafting, component engineering or systems administration.
• Experience interacting with engineers to gather requirements and translate them into actionable steps.
• Organized, dependable and detail‑oriented with a genuine appetite to learn the PLM platform deeply.

Required skills

• NX (Siemens) CAD software.
• Teamcenter PLM administration.
• Check‑Mate rule creation.
• Scripting for automation (e.g., Python, VBA or similar).
• SQL for reporting and data investigation.
