Business Process Specialist, Employee Health & Benefits

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Business Process Specialist for its employee health and benefits team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role manages and supports regional back-end operational functions so that workflows stay smooth and efficient. It is a hybrid position with a minimum of 3 days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee outsourced teams, rerouting assigned tasks as needed and monitoring utilization and capacity
• Lead weekly meetings to keep teams aligned
• Maintain and administer agency management systems and carry out key finance-related operational processes
• Educate the field on outsourcing processes and act as a subject matter expert on operational questions
• Support special operational initiatives and resolve challenges from finance, systems, outsourcing, reporting or technology perspectives

Required profile

• At least 3 years of insurance agency or brokerage experience in employee benefits
• Advanced knowledge of agency operational procedures and the agency management system
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, teamwork, time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship now or in the future
• A plus: L&H license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) or equivalent experience, and experience with Applied Epic, BenefitPoint, Sagitta, Smartsheet or M365

What we offer

• Base salary of $48,400 to $90,000, depending on experience, skills, location and other factors, with possible performance-based incentives
