Business Performance Improvement Consultant - 2027

About the role

Protiviti is hiring a Business Performance Improvement Consultant in Chicago. Consultants help clients in finance, operations, people and change, working with leading companies to solve complex business problems. The role is part of the Foundations programme, which gives hands-on project experience, coaching and mentorship to build technical skills and leadership qualities.

Key responsibilities

• Work with client and project teams to deliver client-focused solutions to complex business problems
• Compile and analyze data, document findings and communicate insights that add value to client engagements
• Build professional relationships based on trust with client and project personnel
• Manage time and priorities, take ownership of assignments and contribute to team results
• Learn alongside experienced leaders and advisors, with project experiences chosen by Talent Managers to support career growth

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline such as Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Project Management, Supply Chain or another business major
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
• Experience solving problems using AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI)
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to apply critical thinking and innovation to client engagements across industries
• Relevant experience: foundation in accounting and finance processes, documenting findings and sharing recommendations, entry-level knowledge of organizational operations processes
