Business Development Representative

About the role

As a Business Development Representative at Realm, you will drive the outbound sales engine, identifying and qualifying prospects in the mining and industrial sectors and booking meetings for the sales team.

Key responsibilities

• Make ~150+ outbound cold calls per day, supplemented with email and LinkedIn outreach.
• Qualify inbound and outbound leads against the ideal customer profile, uncovering pain points, budget and timeline fit.
• Book qualified meetings and hand off well‑prepared opportunities to the sales team.
• Maintain accurate, real‑time records in the CRM for every call, note and next step.
• Partner with sales to refine messaging, objection handling and outbound playbooks.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, SDR/BDR or similar high‑volume, customer‑facing role.
• Completed Bachelor’s degree.
• Proven ability to sustain high call volume (150+ calls/day) with discipline and resilience.
• Track record of personalized, researched outreach that resonates with prospects.
• Strong verbal communication skills and comfort handling objections.

Required skills

• Experience with outbound tooling such as Salesloft, Outreach, Apollo or ZoomInfo.
• Proficiency in a CRM system (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
