About the role
Canva is looking for a Business Development Representative to join its Sales and Success team. In this role you will help identify and nurture strategic partnerships that drive revenue and expand Canva’s presence across target markets.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to uncover and pursue strategic pipeline opportunities.
- Generate demand through cold outreach methods such as cold calling, emailing and social selling.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline using tools like Salesforce, Pocus, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo and Gong.
- Work cross‑functionally with Marketing, Product and Customer Success to align business development initiatives.
- Apply knowledge of Canva’s technology, competitors and industry trends to position solutions effectively.
- Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly performance metrics.
Required profile
- Proven track record of identifying and executing partnerships that generate revenue growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- Goal‑oriented with excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
- Experience in cold outreach, account planning, opportunity qualification and objection handling.
