Business Development Manager

About the role

Salamander Solutions is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to grow its presence in California. Based in Houston, you will drive revenue, manage strategic accounts and secure high‑value commercial agreements within the Oil & Gas sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage key accounts across California.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to increase revenue.
• Lead complex negotiations and close large commercial agreements.
• Identify new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
• Build relationships with executive‑level decision‑makers in regional Oil & Gas companies.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with product development, marketing, operations and customer support teams.
• Travel domestically as required to support customers and industry events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field (engineering background a plus).
• 7–10 years of sales experience, preferably in Oil & Gas.
• Proven success closing large, complex deals and meeting revenue targets.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Self‑starter able to work independently and remotely.

Required skills

• Thermal EOR knowledge.
• Artificial lift expertise.
• Flow assurance understanding.
