Business Development Executive - Private Client Insurance

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency's Private Client Services - National team is looking for a Business Development Executive focused on new business in several regions. The role involves completing sales calls and presentations while building and managing a large portfolio of potential accounts to meet personal sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Complete sales calls and presentations and cultivate a large portfolio of potential accounts to meet personal sales targets.
• Use existing networks, a mid-sized list of account leads and insights from research and relationship engagements to win business from small, nuanced or complex accounts in a delegated region and/or industry.
• Conduct targeted market research using market awareness, contacts and knowledge of the competitive environment to identify and target business opportunities.
• Frequently interface with internal and external senior-level stakeholders and support senior colleagues with advanced aspects of the deal process.
• Join professional, industry or regional organizations, attend conferences and events, and build a large professional network representing the company.

Required profile

• Broker license.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• At least five years of experience in new business development, ideally in large group insurance.
• Proven insurance industry experience with individual and group insurance products.
