Business Development Associate

About the role

Translation Excellence (TE) is a language services agency offering localization, certified translation and interpretation, ASL, CART, transcription, desktop publishing, foreign language instruction and cultural competency training. This entry-level Business Development Associate position is based at the Aurora, CO office and focuses on developing new business relationships and supporting existing clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop prospective clients through internet research, trade show lists, referrals, professional directories and personal investigation
• Foster and close new clients through referrals, cold calling, networking and trade shows
• Grow new business from existing clients, working with senior leadership to expand relationships and upsell the TE portfolio
• Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients
• Educate clients on the translation process, including rates, turnaround times and competitor information
• Liaise with production so jobs are handled carefully and delivered perfectly
• Follow up consistently with clients to ensure satisfaction with delivery, quality and customer service
• Stay informed on the industries TE serves, current events and relevant data
• Perform special projects or duties when required

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal English
• Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent; recent graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management
• Interest in the legal industry is a plus
