Business Coordinator – Evergreen Levels I‑III

About the role
The Business Coordinator supports Texas A&M Engineering Business Services by providing payroll and human‑resources liaison functions for the College of Engineering. The role is available at three experience levels (Evergreen I, II, III) and is essential to the smooth operation of departmental payroll, employee onboarding, and leave administration.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee monthly and bi‑weekly payroll processing for assigned departments.
- Coordinate hiring, termination, and work‑authorization certification activities.
- Submit supplemental pay requests and manage payroll adjustments.
- Maintain personnel files and approve leave requests.
- Serve as primary contact for Engineering Faculty Services, Human Resources, and Payroll offices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience in payroll administration or business coordination, appropriate to the selected level (I, II, or III).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners.
Required skills
- Knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
- Familiarity with human‑resources procedures.
- Proficiency in standard office software for data entry and reporting.
