Financial Analyst

About the role

Moog is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Avionics site in Mineral Wells, Texas. The role partners with operations, supply chain, engineering and program management to drive financial planning, reporting and cost‑accounting for a growing aerospace manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with cross‑functional teams to analyze P&L performance and identify profitability improvements.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and corporate reporting.
• Manage revenue recognition for point‑in‑time and over‑time contracts in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long‑range planning.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate business performance and strategic initiatives.
• Provide manufacturing cost accounting support, including project costing, overhead allocation and customer profitability analysis.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to automate, standardize and streamline finance processes and internal controls.
• Support special projects such as ERP enhancements, costing improvements and new program implementations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and financial modeling abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to partner across all organizational levels.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Financial modeling and scenario analysis.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue‑recognition principles.
• Manufacturing cost accounting techniques.
