Director, Consumer Compliance Examination

About the role

The Consumer Affairs Team of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas seeks a versatile and highly motivated Director, Examinations. This leader will manage and develop staff to conduct risk‑focused consumer compliance examinations and Community Reinvestment Act evaluations, overseeing a portfolio of community and regional banking organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of examiners responsible for examining assigned entities.
• Identify emerging consumer compliance risks within the portfolio to guide risk‑focused supervision.
• Oversee completion, reporting, and processing of examinations and inspections.
• Review supervisory work products and work papers to ensure findings are well‑supported and align with Board expectations.
• Participate in meetings with bank officials, other regulators, and Reserve Bank management.
• Supervise personnel decisions, including hiring, dismissals, performance appraisal, compensation, training, and counseling.
• Make decisions guided by established policies, procedures, and business priorities.
• Stay current on statutes, regulations, supervisory policies, and banking industry trends.
• Contribute to operational, tactical, and strategic planning for the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Examiner commission (specific certification) as required for the role.
