Bulk and Install Delivery Driver

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Bulk and Install Delivery Driver who delivers and installs kitchen and laundry appliances using a company-provided vehicle. The driver also maintains delivery records and handles customer service questions about orders and deliveries. The position requires driving a company or rental vehicle, which may be done during the average work week, and the company monitors Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs); an acceptable MVR and a valid driver's license are required.

Key responsibilities

• Load, transport and deliver kitchen and laundry appliances safely to customer homes or businesses.
• Install appliances in line with manufacturer guidelines, building codes and safety standards, including basic water, electrical and venting connections.
• Remove old appliances and dispose of packaging materials as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic installation issues and escalate them when necessary.
• Follow planned routes, obey traffic laws and safety regulations, and maintain the delivery vehicle.
• Provide polite, professional customer service during deliveries and record delivery information.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to the supervisor and work under general supervision with regular review by a senior coworker.

Required profile

• Generally 2-5 years of experience in the area of responsibility; HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Preferred: appliance delivery and installation experience, 1+ years operating material handling equipment, box truck experience, and wholesale distribution experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations or 2 minor accidents in the past 3 years.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy or awkward loads (50+ pounds) and occasional overnight travel of less than 10% of the time.
