Broadcast Producer - Sports Play-by-Play

About the role

iHeartMedia Markets is hiring a Broadcast Producer in Bala Cynwyd, PA, to assist with the planning and production of live and pre-recorded radio shows covering news, music, talk, sports, traffic and features. The position is part-time and paid hourly.

Key responsibilities

• Generate original ideas, encourage ideation from others and carry out thorough research
• Research information, obtain materials and help contact and schedule guests
• Give direction to presenters, content providers, assistants and other crew members
• Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
• Obtain permissions or licenses for on-location recording, broadcasting and the use of music, sound effects and audio archive material
• Monitor listener emails and inquiries related to shows
• Work with presenters and contributors on quality assurance to meet production standards
• Use broadcasting technologies such as soundboards and editing/production software
• Schedule and monitor the radio stream during live recordings
• Assist with time-keeping, saving recordings, archiving files and post-production editing

Required profile

• Creative mindset and excellent writing and storytelling skills, able to adapt content for different audiences and platforms
• Knowledge of the radio market, station and program styles, and audience demographics
• Experience with recording equipment and operating a radio studio
• Ability to build rapport, pitch ideas to senior colleagues and work under pressure
• Full knowledge of radio production laws, rules and regulations, including when clearances and licenses are needed
