Brand Designer, Social Media

About the role

Okta’s Brand and Creative team is seeking a Brand Designer focused on Social Media to shape the visual voice across platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, and others. As the first dedicated creative hire for social, you will set the standard for how Okta appears in feeds and translate complex identity and security narratives into engaging content.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design for Okta’s organic social channels, creating static, carousel, and feed‑first assets from concept to publication.
• Build and evolve recurring creative formats that enable rapid translation of business initiatives into channel‑native content.
• Transform the “Okta Secures AI” story into visually compelling ideas that drive attention, engagement, and shares.
• Integrate cultural relevance while maintaining the trusted security brand tone.
• Design assets and templates for the social advocacy program, empowering employees and partners to share content at scale.
• Collaborate with the video team to produce high‑impact YouTube thumbnails, playlist art, and supporting visuals.
• Evolve social brand expression while safeguarding core brand assets.
• Test new formats, analyze performance, and codify best practices for continuous improvement.
• Present creative direction to stakeholders and mentor other designers contributing to social.
• Stay ahead of platform changes and feed trends, feeding insights back to the team.

Required profile

• A standout portfolio of social‑first design work that stops the scroll and drives engagement.
• Ability to translate complex identity and security concepts into simple, attention‑grabbing visuals.
• Strong sense of cultural trends and the speed to move from idea to published asset.
• Experience working with senior, technical audiences in the security or AI space.
• Excellent visual storytelling skills while adhering to brand guidelines.
