Senior Forward Deployed UX Designer – Onsite, Nashville

About the role

As a Senior Forward Deployed UX Designer on the Azurion Eye program, you will work directly with clinicians and engineers inside a partner hospital in Nashville, shaping AI‑enabled user experiences for Philips’ Image Guided Therapy Systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead human‑centered design efforts by immersing in clinical environments to understand workflows and translate insights into adaptive user experiences.
• Create and validate user‑centered solutions from concept through prototype, ensuring alignment with business goals and Philips’ Design Language System.
• Define interaction patterns for AI‑powered systems, contributing to safe, explainable, and clinically effective designs.
• Mentor fellow designers and foster a collaborative design culture within the forward‑deployed pod.

Required profile

• 7+ years of UX design experience (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree) and a proven track record leading design in multidisciplinary, regulated environments.
• Experience designing complex, AI‑enabled solutions for healthcare or cath‑lab settings.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with clinicians, engineers, and product teams.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the partner hospital and occasional travel to Best (Netherlands) or Bangalore (India).
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma for UI/UX design.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office for documentation and presentations.
• Experience with AI‑assisted design and productivity tools.
• Familiarity with Git and Agile development workflows.

• Base salary range $140,000 – $223,000 per year.
