Branch Operations Manager – Newkirk Plaza, Brooklyn

About the role

Santander is seeking a Branch Operations Manager to lead daily operations at the Newkirk Plaza branch in Brooklyn. The role focuses on delivering a secure, efficient, and customer‑centric experience while supporting the Branch Manager in driving performance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all operational risk controls, security policies, and regulatory standards.
• Act as Vault and/or ATM custodian, perform balancing, cash counts, and maintain audit logs.
• Manage currency ordering, negotiable inventory, and related documentation.
• Serve as second‑in‑command to the Branch Manager, communicating new products, daily plans, and key activities.
• Perform a variety of customer transactions, identify sales opportunities, and deepen relationships.
• Research and resolve account issues in partnership with the Branch Manager.
• Observe teller transactions and coach staff to improve the customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in branch operations, cash handling, and compliance.
• Strong leadership abilities to support the Branch Manager and guide staff.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage vault/ATM responsibilities and maintain accurate records.
