About the role

The Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a dynamic Branch Manager to lead the Max Milam Library in Perryville, AR. This position oversees daily operations, staff development, and community engagement to deliver excellent public library services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily branch operations
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff
• Develop staff schedules and ensure effective coverage
• Handle cash management and reporting
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for patrons of all ages
• Build and maintain strong relationships within the local community
• Lead projects and initiatives that enhance library services

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation and enthusiasm for public service
• Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, and project management skills
• Knowledge of library technologies and electronic information services
• Commitment to innovation and progressive library practices
