Box Maker – Days Shift (Food Manufacturing)

About the role

Saputo, a top 10 global dairy processor, is hiring a Box Maker for its days shift (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, typically Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday) in a 12-hour rotating schedule. The operator cross-trains across milk receiving, pasteurization and batching/blending, and product filling, and works in a team environment with a focus on accuracy, organization and food safety.

Key responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) without deviation and inspect bulk tankers; collect and test raw dairy samples and report deviations.
• Hook up and safely unload tanker trucks, pump raw dairy into bulk tanks, and perform routine cleaning, CIP and SIP operations.
• Mix, blend and batch product according to customer recipes, then process it to meet pasteurization requirements.
• Review daily time and temperature charts, report variances and corrective actions, and support FSMA compliance.
• Perform filler operator duties: set up, change-overs, adjust fill weights and packaging quality checks, and document variances.
• Operate a lift truck safely, keep production records neat, and carry out equipment change-overs, clean-up and good housekeeping.
• Support internal and external audits, comply with GMPs, food safety and dairy regulations, and follow the Saputo Code of Ethics.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of work experience in food manufacturing; dairy experience preferred.
• Successful drug screen and background check.
• Ability to multi-task, follow instructions, think critically and analyze data, with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Understanding of food manufacturing acronyms (SQF, QA/QC, CQP, HACCP, SOP, 5S, GMP).
• Strong math skills.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office and ERP; SAP preferred.
• Technical ability to operate equipment controls, touch panels and mechanical operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
