About the role

Join a Barnes & Noble bookstore as a temporary Bookseller, welcoming customers, maintaining store presentation, and operating registers in a friendly, professional manner.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, and recommend titles and products.
• Unpack, shelve deliveries, and keep displays tidy.
• Operate registers efficiently and provide quick, courteous service.
• Support the café team and assist with loss‑prevention procedures.

Required profile

• Reliable, punctual attendance with flexibility for varied store hours.
• Positive, energetic attitude and willingness to help colleagues and customers.
• Enjoyment of bookselling and a desire to learn store knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with registers, computers, tablets, and store software (e.g., BookMaster).
• Strong merchandising and visual presentation abilities.
• Basic loss‑prevention and de‑escalation techniques.
