Biomedical Equipment Technician

About the role

This field service position is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and maintaining biomedical equipment at customer sites while ensuring regulatory compliance and high customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and installations using service manuals, OEM training, and on‑the‑job learning.
• Diagnose and resolve electronic, mechanical, and network issues on a variety of medical devices.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coordinate with site service personnel to address issues promptly.
• Generate service revenue and adhere to state and federal regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience servicing medical equipment, preferably patient monitors, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, or infusion pumps.
• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations.
• US work authorization and residence within commuting distance to Loma Linda, CA.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of electronic circuit boards, schematics, processors and computer hardware.
• Understanding of electronic, mechanical and networking theory for installation and repair.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and test equipment.
• Experience with radiation safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
