Biology Instructor (Full‑time)

About the role

Savannah Technical College is seeking a full‑time Biology Instructor to teach at its Savannah campus and occasionally travel to other campus locations. The role involves delivering lectures, advising students, and contributing to program development.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct undergraduate biology courses and develop syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluate student progress, record learning outcomes, and provide academic advisement.
• Maintain program certification requirements and prepare required documentation and reports.
• Order and manage classroom supplies and equipment, ensuring safety and security standards.
• Attend professional development activities such as workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Collaborate with staff, educators, and local employers to enhance student placements.
• Manage and recruit adjunct instructors and oversee enrollment numbers.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule that may include split teaching days across campuses.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Biology (or related field) from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least one year of paid teaching experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and human‑relations abilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
