Bin Repair Laborer

About the role

The Bin Repair Laborer is responsible for restoring wooden cranberry crates and supporting receiving station operations at our Tomah facility. This hands‑on role involves using a variety of hand and power tools, operating a forklift, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Restore wooden cranberry crates by removing defective wood and installing new components.
• Safely operate tools such as pneumatic stapler, nail gun, hammer, pry bar, chisel, cutters and Sawzall.
• Keep the work area clean, safe and organized at all times.
• Report operational problems, equipment failures, or safety and quality issues to the Supervisor or Lead Worker.
• Stage bin bottoms and sides for stacking, repair, or transport.
• Perform forklift duties including staging bins, loading/unloading trucks and moving bin components within the plant.
• Support the Receiving Station’s harvest operations by assisting with set‑up, monitoring equipment efficiency and helping with routine maintenance and sanitation.
• Remove snow from sidewalks and driving surfaces as needed and assist with waste‑disposal truck loading.
• Maintain accurate logs of inbound and outbound shipments.

Required profile

• Consistent attendance and ability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain accurate shipment logs.
• Physical capability to perform manual lifting, stand for long periods and operate equipment safely.
