Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Houston

About the role

The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning seeks a compassionate bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to provide school‑based therapy to students with IEPs in the Houston area. This 1099 contract position involves direct therapy, progress monitoring, and collaboration with SLPAs and school staff.

Key responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy techniques for students.
• Monitor, document, and report student progress in compliance with TEA standards.
• Supervise and support SLPAs during therapy sessions.
• Coordinate scheduling and communication with school staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA certification.
• Fluency in Spanish and experience working with pediatric populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage children and families.
• Organizational ability for accurate record‑keeping and documentation.

Required skills

• Speech-Language Pathology clinical techniques.
• Use of therapy materials and tools for pediatric speech therapy.
• Bilingual communication (English/Spanish).
