Bilingual Parts Specialist

About the role

O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Bilingual Parts Specialist for its store in Raleigh, NC. The specialist provides retail and installer customers with a high level of service and supports store management with assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key responsibilities

• Greet retail and walk-in customers promptly and help them select merchandise
• Answer phone calls, look up parts and quote prices, recommend premium and related items, and offer the Low-Price Guarantee
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers
• Maintain the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make change and process credit card transactions
• Process exchanges and returns, and handle customer complaints in a friendly way
• Complete daily image maker, planogram updates, freight receipt, stocking, fronting and facing, and cleaning
• Help with returns to the distribution center, monthly stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts
• After training, operate the brake lathe and other store test equipment
• Perform in-store services where state and local laws allow (e.g. installing wipers, testing and charging batteries, scanning trouble codes)
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when business needs dictate

Required profile

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences
• Outstanding, friendly and professional customer service, while multitasking between phone and in-store customers
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired
• ASE certification is desired

Required skills

• Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging and the Weatherly index system is desired
• Familiarity with automotive sales or service is desired
