Bilingual Housing Locator

About the role

The Bilingual Housing Locator works directly with families approved for rental assistance, helping them find and secure safe, affordable housing while also engaging landlords to support the program.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, providing coaching through the housing search, accompanying them to open houses, and advocating with landlords.
• Build and sustain relationships with landlords and property managers, acting as a liaison and explaining program processes.
• Maintain frequent communication with clients and landlords via meetings, emails, and phone calls.
• Keep thorough, up‑to‑date client files in both paper and electronic formats.
• Perform unit inspections and complete certification reports.

Required profile

• Valid California driver’s license and ability to be approved as a Zipcar driver.
• Fluency in Spanish and English at a professional level.
• Experience in housing navigation, case management, homelessness services, or related client‑facing social services.
• Strong professionalism, punctuality, reliability, and ability to work independently while juggling multiple responsibilities.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $33.33.
• Paid time off: 4 weeks vacation in year 1, 5 weeks in year 2, plus holidays, sick time, and family leave.
