Behavioral Health Supervisor (Recovery Support)

About the role

The Behavioral Health Supervisor (Recovery Support) will lead the Recovery Support Specialist team at Indiana Treatment Centers’ new Muncie facility. Reporting to the Program Director, you will shape daily operations, ensure safety, and support clients in their recovery journey.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, monthly performance reviews, and coaching to the Recovery Support Specialist (RSS) team.
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, orientation, and ongoing development of RSS staff.
• Develop and manage staff schedules to guarantee safe coverage and program continuity.
• Ensure completion of required training within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing, and operations leadership on therapeutic services and program consistency.
• Act as escalation point for staff concerns, client behavioral issues, and operational challenges.
• Orient new clients within 48 hours, facilitate educational groups, administer urine drug screens, and support recreational activities.
• Transport clients to approved meetings, appointments, and activities as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience supervising recovery‑support or behavioral‑health staff.
• Strong knowledge of substance‑use disorder treatment and co‑occurring mental‑health conditions.
• Ability to develop schedules, provide coaching, and deliver performance feedback.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with clinical, nursing, and leadership teams.
