About the role
The Behavioral Health Practitioner will implement and promote a comprehensive behavioral health program in a community clinic serving primarily Spanish‑speaking, low‑income immigrant adults and children. The role includes assessment, therapy, case management, and coordination with medical providers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct initial mental health assessments and provide individual, family, and group therapy.
- Supervise MFT/MSW interns and trainees as needed.
- Respond to crisis situations and collaborate with medical staff to ensure treatment compliance.
- Develop and lead psycho‑educational classes and groups.
- Maintain accurate client records, complete timely documentation, and handle HWLA and Medi‑Cal billing.
Required profile
- ASW, AMFT, LCSW, or MFT license preferred (not required).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and team‑building abilities.
- Ability to work with diverse cultural, educational, and economic backgrounds.
- Proof of up‑to‑date COVID‑19 vaccinations.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office proficiency.
