Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist – Women’s Health

About the role

The Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist provides psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment services to women and families within the Infant and Maternal Health program at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role supports patients across the mental‑health spectrum and helps shape emerging behavioral‑health programs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual, group, family and crisis counseling using advanced psychotherapeutic techniques.
• Conduct diagnostic interviews, assessments, and develop treatment plans aligned with interdisciplinary care.
• Collaborate with team members, agencies, and families to ensure compliance and facilitate discharge planning.
• Provide education, resources, and liaison services for patients and community support workers.
• Supervise and train lower‑level social workers, students or interns; maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field.
• Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or equivalent license (LPCC, LPC, LSW) with no ethics or abuse violations.
• At least three years of experience in a behavioral‑health setting.
• Physical ability to sit for long periods, walk frequently, and lift up to 25 lb.
