Behavior Technician - Autism Services (Part-Time)

About the role

Asteri Behavioral Treatment Center is hiring a part-time Behavior Technician for in-home ABA therapy in Montebello. You will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities, helping them build communication, social, behavioral and daily living skills. No prior ABA experience is required: paid training and support from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) is provided. Sessions run 2-5 hours, mostly with children aged 3-17, on afternoon and evening schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in clients' homes
• Implement individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA
• Teach communication, social, play, self-help and daily living skills
• Help reduce challenging behaviors using positive, evidence-based strategies
• Collect accurate session data and complete clinical documentation
• Collaborate with supervising clinicians and communicate professionally with families and caregivers
• Attend ongoing training and team meetings

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Availability of at least 15 hours per week, between 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and current auto insurance and registration
• Willingness to travel up to 25 miles from home for client sessions
• Experience working with children is a plus but not required
