Aviation Mechanic – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Aviation Mechanic to join its Panama City Beach team. This onsite position supports aircraft readiness for defense missions and requires a Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components.
• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Document all maintenance actions in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and supply personnel to maintain aircraft availability.
• Support operational checks, functional tests, and aircraft readiness evaluations.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in aviation or LCAC related maintenance, including aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance or ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and remain stationary for extended periods.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as torque wrenches, feeler gauges, and micrometers.
