Aviation Maintenance A&P Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Chattahoochee Technical College, seeks an Aviation Maintenance A&P Instructor to join its Aviation Academy Campus in Paulding County. This full‑time faculty position will deliver instruction across airframe, powerplant, and general aviation maintenance programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach all courses in the Aviation Maintenance curriculum, both in‑person and online.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, EPA rules, and OSHA safety standards in labs and hangars.
• Develop engaging instructional materials that meet FAA requirements.
• Oversee safety practices and conduct program assessments.
• Collaborate with the Aviation Program Director on curriculum development and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings (minimum).
• Experience working as an aviation maintenance technician.
• Associate degree or higher in Aviation Maintenance or a related field.
• Demonstrated teaching experience in aviation maintenance.
• Experience with program assessments and FAA Inspection Authorization (preferred).
