Disability Services Assistant – Paulding Campus

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated Disability Services Assistant for the Paulding Campus of Chattahoochee Technical College. This position supports student affairs by providing administrative and clerical assistance to the Disability Support Services (DSS) team.

Key responsibilities

• Proctor examinations and manage testing accommodations.
• Handle the general DSS email, send mass communications, and respond to student inquiries.
• Prepare and distribute accommodation letters, process testing requests, and schedule exams and appointments.
• Assist students with intake paperwork, set appointments for specialists, and support orientation and awareness events.
• Enter student data into the computerized disability database and BANNER system.
• Provide front‑desk support, answer phones, greet visitors, and aid with registration processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience or familiarity with basic administrative duties in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff.

Required skills

• BANNER (higher education ERP system).
