Automation Trainer II

About the role

The Automation Trainer II independently delivers customer and internal training programs on automation equipment, software, maintenance, troubleshooting, and best‑practice operations. As a fully qualified instructor, you will support curriculum maintenance, content improvements, and technical knowledge transfer across multiple machine families.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver classroom and hands‑on training sessions for customers and employees.
• Evaluate trainee performance, knowledge retention, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain and update training materials, recommending enhancements as needed.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to revise curricula and support course validation.
• Answer technical questions, demonstrate troubleshooting procedures, and stay current on product and software updates.
• Provide guidance to Trainer I personnel and share instructional best practices.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years in automation, manufacturing, field service, technical support, maintenance, or technical training.
• Proven ability to deliver technical training independently.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and willingness to travel up to 35%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
