Automation Engineering Technician Lead – Nights – Sign‑on Bonus

About the role

The Automation Engineering Technician Lead works the night shift to sustain manufacturing processes, lead maintenance team members, and drive equipment return to standard and preventive maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead shift maintenance team, providing training, performance reviews, and discipline.
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of automated production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Execute continuous‑improvement projects, define and follow SOPs, and support verification/validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Collaborate with vendors, engineers, and other sites to improve automated processes and update documentation.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience maintaining automated equipment, PLCs, and related electrical/mechanical systems.
• Associate degree or equivalent technical certification; prior leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, parts lists, and technical drawings.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred).
• Electrical troubleshooting up to 480 VAC.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with industrial robots, vision systems, or laser marking (preferred).

What we offer

• $2,000 sign‑on bonus paid in two installments.
• 15% per‑hour shift differential.
• Base pay range $36.00–$48.50 per hour, depending on qualifications.
