About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Otolaryngology seeks a full‑time Audiology Assistant 3 to support audiologists in Plantation, FL. The role involves supervising junior assistants, ensuring clinic flow, and handling audiological equipment and patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Support audiologists in testing, device fitting, and hearing‑aid orientation.
• Mentor and train Audiology Assistant 1 and 2 staff, delegating tasks as needed.
• Prepare treatment rooms, manage supplies, and maintain clinic cleanliness and organization.
• Perform instrument sterilization, biological checks of equipment, and report issues.
• Handle patient intake, verify information, and coordinate scheduling using IDX RIS/PACS.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Audiology Assistant Certification to be completed within three months of hire.
• Minimum six years of relevant audiology assistant experience.
• Ability to process confidential information and work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IDX RIS/PACS systems.
• Experience performing hearing‑aid fitting and orientation.
• Knowledge of audiology equipment maintenance and biological checks.
