A&T Technician II

About the role

Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking an A&T Technician II to work the 2nd shift (2:00 pm‑10:30 pm) on the assembly line in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on precision assembly and testing of hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical flight actuators for production and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of complex actuators following written and oral instructions.
• Adjust and align components using shims, torque wrenches, fixtures and other mechanical adjustments as specified by blueprints.
• Utilize dial indicators, calipers, micrometers and other measuring devices to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Conduct functional tests on hydraulic, mechanical and electronic systems using appropriate test equipment.
• Diagnose test failures, perform rework, and hold units for engineering disposition.
• Document test results and ensure compliance with current revision letters.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) and ability to follow English work instructions.
• At least 1 year of assembly experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electromechanical or electronic environments, preferably aerospace.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification is a plus.
• Eligibility for FAA safety‑sensitive position and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Required skills

• Precision measuring equipment: dial indicators, calipers, micrometers.

• Hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical assembly and testing.
• Basic computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Fundamental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
