Avionics Technician (Full Time)

About the role

The Avionics Technician reports to the Avionics Supervisor and ensures all work follows the repair station manual, FAA regulations, and manufacturer instructions. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications, installations, and component handling for aircraft avionics systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform airframe electrical and avionics repairs, inspections, installations, and modifications in compliance with Title 14 CFR Part 43.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints; remove defective parts, install replacements, and conduct operational and leak checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete repair station forms, and ensure all discrepancies are signed off with proper ATA codes and part numbers.
• Ensure proper tool condition, housekeeping, and safety precautions throughout the shop.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Two or more years of aircraft avionics installation and repair experience, with strong knowledge of 145 repair station operations and FAA regulations.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and lift up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (preferred).
• Federal Communications Commission (FCC) License (optional).
• Proficiency in aircraft avionics installations, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and apply FAA regulations, service bulletins, and technical manuals.
