Associate Web Services Librarian – SpringShare Platform

About the role

The Texas A&M University Libraries are seeking an Associate Web Services Librarian to lead the administration of the SpringShare platform. This on‑campus role combines technical stewardship of web tools with collaborative project work across library and university technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic assessment, enhancement, and management of Springshare services.
• Oversee Springshare applications and library web platforms to ensure quality assurance, accessibility compliance, and robust support.
• Provide training, troubleshooting, and user support for library applications and web tools.
• Collaborate with Technology Services, Discovery Systems, and User Experience teams to integrate and improve digital services.
• Support web and digital projects through all lifecycle stages, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Collect, analyze, and report usage data using LibInsights, Google Analytics, and APIs, creating dashboards and documentation.
• Participate in departmental leadership, cross‑departmental committees, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in library web services or related fields.

Required skills

• Administration of SpringShare applications (LibGuides, LibCal, LibAnswers).
• Quality assurance and accessibility compliance for web platforms.
• Experience with content management systems such as Cascade.
• Data analysis using LibInsights, Google Analytics, and APIs.
