Associate Software Applications Developer I

About the role

The Associate Software Applications Developer I will join a collaborative software development team within the Texas A&M University System Offices. This entry‑level position focuses on creating and supporting web‑based applications that serve internal clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients and co‑workers in defining application requirements and output needs.
• Support preliminary design activities, including flow‑charts, system specifications, and programming guidelines.
• Review, modify, and write program code and job control language under guidance.
• Document system procedures, user guidelines, and code changes.
• Participate in testing of new programs, modifications, and applications.
• Provide technical assistance, training, and problem resolution for application users.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education/experience.
• No prior professional experience required – ideal for recent graduates.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to work with clients and team members.
