Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine – Hematology

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in Hematology to join the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. The role combines patient care, teaching, and research to advance hematology practice.

Key responsibilities

• Provide outpatient and inpatient attending physician services at Sylvester’s main campus, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Design, conduct, and supervise clinical and translational trials in classical hematology.
• Serve as principal investigator on research projects and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Generate sufficient external funding to support professional practice and departmental goals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, Grand Rounds, and academic activities.

Required profile

• MD with board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology.
• Eligibility for a Florida medical license.
• Proven record of excellence in patient care and peer‑reviewed publications.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
• Strong teaching ability and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
