Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery

About the role

The University of Miami Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery seeks an Associate Professor of Clinical Dermatology. This faculty position combines patient care, research, teaching, and service within a nationally recognized department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality outpatient care for general dermatology conditions.
• Participate in inpatient and telehealth coverage, including services for cruise lines.
• Mentor and train residents and fellows, contributing to their clinical and research development.
• Engage in scholarly activities, data collection, and preparation of research award applications.
• Present at teaching conferences and departmental meetings.
• Oversee assigned mid‑level medical staff and support administrative functions.

Required profile

• MD degree with board certification or eligibility in Dermatology.
• Valid Florida medical license and DEA registration.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary clinical and research teams.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently within a collaborative environment.
